Long Island Crazy Colour Dreams
White metal, fully pavé-set
Franck Muller's Crazy Hours idea, executed in colour on the Long Island case, with a fully pavé-set frame.

The Story
Crazy Hours was a real complication before it was a design signature. The hour hand does not sweep. It jumps, on the hour, to a numeral scattered somewhere else on the dial, and the sequence resolves correctly every twelve hours. Franck Muller patented the module in 2003 and it remains the most Genevan joke in the industry.
The Colour Dreams execution takes that scattered layout and gives every numeral its own enamel colour over a guilloché silver ground. Read it once and it is chaos. Read it twice and the logic appears.
The Long Island case is the rectangular one, longer and more Deco than the cushion-shaped Cintrée Curvex that most people picture when they hear the name. Fully pavé-set here, in two rows around the bezel and continuing into the lugs, on black alligator.
This is not a watch pretending to be discreet, and it should not be judged as one. It is a Geneva house at its most theatrical, and the pieces that hold their value are exactly the ones that commit hardest to that.
Setting quality is where these are won or lost. Stone uniformity across the bezel rows and the lug transitions is the first thing a specialist checks.
“Read it once and it is chaos. Read it twice and the logic appears.
